Joel Johnson, the Managing Partner of Johnson Brunetti, has been in the financial services industry since 1989. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Joel and his team have helped thousands of families develop their own individualized retirement plans based on the unique needs of those approaching the second phase of their lives. Starting from humble beginnings but developing a strong work ethic early on, Joel’s grandfather taught him by serving others first and creating value for someone else, you will never have to worry about money. These important life lessons were the driving force in establishing a firm that stands for integrity and exceeding customer expectations. The goal of Johnson Brunetti is to create a sense of confidence as individuals head into retirement.

Through Joel’s leadership, Johnson Brunetti has grown into a firm specializing in Retirement and Investments with many Financial Advisors and neighborhood offices located throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, and the Greater Atlanta Area. Joel is the host of “Better Money” on WFSB Channel 3 Eyewitness News, “Better Money Boston” on WCVB5, and “Better Money Atlanta” on WSB-TV on weekend mornings. He and Eric Hogarth, CFP® host a weekly financial radio show, “Money Wisdom” that can be heard on radio stations in New England, including WTIC NewsTalk 1080. He is the author of many books, including “The Money Map”, has articles published in the Hartford Business Journal, and the Journal Inquirer, and is a monthly contributor to Forbes. In addition, Joel’s weekly Podcast, “Money Wisdom”, aimed at educating the public about smart retirement options can be found on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and many other podcast streaming apps.

Joel has been instrumental in creating a team environment at Johnson Brunetti and due to this has become a well-sought-out mentor within the financial services industry. Through the years, his passion for helping others has led Joel and Johnson Brunetti to donate money and resources to numerous non-profits including the Salvation Army, Veterans Association, Wounded Warriors, Dress for Success, Make-A-Wish®, Camp Courant, Special Operations Warrior Foundation and many others.

Joel and his wife Wendy have four sons. He loves hockey, music, and traveling.
