At Johnson Brunetti, we’re proud to partner with Make-A-Wish® Connecticut and support the incredible work they do to bring hope and joy to children facing serious medical challenges.

One of those brave children is 5-year-old Nico Fazzino, who has inspired us all with his strength and spirit. Last fall, Nico was diagnosed with a brain tumor and has been undergoing chemotherapy following its removal. As Nico enters his final round of treatment, join us in sending support and positive thoughts his way.

During this challenging time, Nico had a simple yet meaningful wish: a backyard pool.

Because of the chest port he needs for treatment, Nico couldn’t safely swim in his grandmother’s lake this summer. Now, thanks to Make-A-Wish Connecticut, he has a place to play, relax, and just be a kid. To say that the pool has brought joy and a sense of normalcy to Nico and his family would be an understatement.

“Nico really loves it and is appreciative of it,” said Nico’s father, Sal Fazzino. “The pool has been a godsend, and the kids enjoy it, and it even brings me back 30 years to enjoying a pool as well.”

“This pool has been so healing to us already,” added Nico’s mother, Michelle Fazzino. “Laying in it, floating together as a family is so healing and calming and comforting and just feels good to get Vitamin D and relax and do normal stuff again in breaks from the hospital.”

Our sincere gratitude goes to Make-A-Wish Connecticut for their dedication and passion in making wishes come true for children like Nico. We are honored to play a small role in bringing comfort to him and his family.
