Margaret Aguirre

As a Client Service Specialist, Margaret is responsible for assisting clients with account management, addressing inquiries, and supporting advisors. Holding a Life Insurance License along with Series 6 and 63 investment licenses, she also serves as a notary. Margaret brings years of experience from her background in Financial Services in Life Insurance and Investments and is also a former educator. Active in the community, she passionately supports the arts, women, and youth organizations. Margaret is a mom of four and a grandmother to a little boy.

In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading, spending time at the beach, and dancing – she was even a professional ballroom dancer!

Brendan Stafstrom

As a Client Relationship Coordinator at Johnson Brunetti, Brendan is responsible for managing advisor schedules, aiding with financial workshops, and assisting with client requests. Prior to joining Johnson Brunetti, Brendan worked as a Client Associate at Coleman Research. With his attentive customer service skills and passion for building relationships, he is a valuable addition to the team.

In his free time, Brendan enjoys playing golf and basketball, watching football, and spending time with friends and family.

Robin Lentz

Robin joined the Johnson Brunetti team in 2013. As Client Relationship Manager, she oversees the Client Relations Team and plays a key role in managing our educational workshops held throughout the year. With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Robin has a great knack for multitasking and handling the demanding schedules of our advisors. Beyond her professional commitments, Robin is deeply involved in the community, contributing to the Meriden Humane Society and Save the Sound initiatives.

Robin loves spending time with her husband and senior rescue kitties. She is an avid traveler and enjoys cruises.

What is your favorite part about working at Johnson Brunetti?

“Aside from being able to help people with a successful retirement, my favorite part of working at Johnson Brunetti is the overall team spirit everyone has, and the energy everyone brings to the office every day.”

Marisol Handren

Marisol joined the Johnson Brunetti team in 2022 as a Client Relationship Coordinator. Her daily duties include overseeing the team’s busy schedules, responding to client inquiries, and helping with financial workshops and events throughout Massachusetts. Her background in digital marketing has equipped her with great organization skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Outside the office, Marisol enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, going to the beach, concerts, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.

Max Gordon

Max Gordon serves as a Client Relationship Coordinator at our prestigious Boston offices, playing a pivotal role in the seamless operation of our advisory team. With a focus on providing unparalleled support, Max takes charge of assisting advisors, addressing client inquiries, and managing essential paperwork with a keen eye for detail and efficiency. His diverse professional background has equipped Max with a comprehensive understanding of client services and operations, making him a standout professional in the financial services landscape.

Outside of work, Max is an avid skier, loves movies, and recently began reading the Game of Thrones book series. .

What is your favorite part about working at Johnson Brunetti?

Ian Fergusson

As a Client Relationship Coordinator, Ian is responsible for managing relationships between clients and advisors, setting up meetings, and aiding in workshop production. He holds two bachelor’s degrees, a Series 65, and a Life & Health producer license.

When not working, Ian loves spending time with his wife, Chelsea, and their labradoodle, Mack. He is a passionate golfer, cyclist, and jazz guitar player.

What is your favorite part about working at Johnson Brunetti?

“I really enjoy working with the great team of people here at Johnson Brunetti. It’s thrilling to be involved on the ground level with such driven, knowledgeable, and supportive colleagues.”

Kevin Crawford

Kevin joins Johnson Brunetti as Chief Compliance Officer after a lengthy career in similar capacities. Most recently, he served as Chief Compliance Officer at White Mountain Advisors LLC in Guilford. Prior to that, he held the position of Director of Business Compliance and Head of Strategic Initiatives at The Hartford Investment Management Company of The Hartford Insurance Group. Kevin is a graduate of Trinity College with a degree in economics and of The University of Hartford with a Master’s degree in professional accounting.

Kevin is a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the American Legion. He is an avid reader and enjoys boating, fishing and spending time with his family.

Karen Purslow, CPA

Karen Purslow has been with Johnson Brunetti since 2011. As our Chief Financial Officer, Karen oversees both the finance organization and the human resources function for the company. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has worked both in public accounting and for small private companies. Her experience includes providing bookkeeping, accounting, and tax services to small businesses. She brings over 30 years of expertise in the financial operations field.

Karen graduated cum laude from Nichols College with a BSBA in accounting. Her passion comes from helping others and giving her time within the community. Previously, Karen served on the Board of Directors for the Cheshire Food Drive and was the treasurer at the First Congregational Church of Cheshire. During her children’s younger years, she was heavily involved in the Whaler Youth Hockey Program and the Parent-Teacher Organization, serving on the board of both organizations. She enjoys finding her ‘Zen’ through yoga and meditation and in her free time, she loves spending time with her husband, son, and daughter.

Laurie Tobias

Laurie is Chief Marketing Officer and Employee Engagement for Johnson Brunetti. Laurie joined the firm in 2010 as the first person in marketing and has been instrumental in building a world-class marketing team that supports and manages all of Johnson Brunetti’s marketing activities. Her team is responsible for all marketing, public relations, and community involvement activities, as well as client appreciation events, educational events, referral events, and workshops. She leads the team in developing strategies to reach individuals that will benefit from working with Johnson Brunetti. Laurie was honored as part of the Hartford Business Journal’s 2021 C-Suite awards.

Laurie also heads up Employee Engagement for the firm. She profoundly believes the people are what makes Johnson Brunetti such a fantastic place to work and she wants to continue to grow and support the engaging culture of Johnson Brunetti.

Laurie enjoys running, biking, reading, traveling, and spending time with her three children. She is on the Board of Directors for the organization For All Ages and also volunteers to help Hartford area high school kids navigate the college application process.
