Johnson Brunetti recently had an enriching experience volunteering with Journey Home in Hartford, a dedicated organization leading the effort to end homelessness in Connecticut’s Capital Region. During our first experience with Journey Home, 15 members of our staff spent the day moving furniture into five new homes, including couches, dressers, and beds.

Journey Home has spent more than a decade empowering people on their way out of homelessness. As part of the Greater Hartford and Central Coordinated Access Network, they are committed to preventing homelessness, accelerating housing solutions, and providing essential furnishings and services to achieve systemic change.

To help ensure a home for all, Journey Home is always looking for volunteers to get involved in a variety of ways, including donating gently used furniture and making deliveries to newly owned homes.

The day was a meaningful opportunity for the Johnson Brunetti team to make a significant impact in the community. By coming together, we helped individuals and families get back on their feet and into a new home. Transitioning from homelessness to housing can help people gain the income and resources they need to pave a better life for themselves and their families.
