Congratulations are in order to Leah Nurse, the recipient of the Connecticut Johnson Brunetti Scholarship for Community Service! This scholarship supports Manchester High School seniors who plan to attend a Connecticut state college or university and honors those who have demonstrated an exceptional dedication to their community.

Leah is deeply involved with her church’s youth ministry and participates in various community activities, such as Link Crew—helping freshmen transition to high school, Indoor and Outdoor Track, and Girls Soccer. She is also a proud member of the National Honor Society.

This fall, Leah will embark on her college journey at Eastern Connecticut State University (ECSU), where she plans to major in Psychology with a focus on family counseling. Her dedication to service and academic excellence makes her a deserving recipient of the $1,500 scholarship, which will assist with her tuition, room and board, books, and meal programs.
