We recently had the opportunity to volunteer with two incredible organizations — Journey Home and Midwest Food Bank — both of which are making a meaningful impact on the communities they serve.

The Johnson Brunetti Team spent a rewarding day at the Journey Home warehouse in West Hartford, where we assembled “Welcome Baskets” filled with kitchen sets, linens, and other household essentials. These baskets are designed to help individuals who are transitioning into permanent housing and beginning a new chapter in their lives.

For over a decade, Journey Home has worked tirelessly to combat homelessness in Connecticut’s Capitol Region. The organization works each day to help as many people as possible move into their new homes and provide furnishings and household items.

The JB Team also had the privilege of spending their morning sorting and repacking food donations at Midwest Food Bank. This incredible organization plays a key role in providing food assistance and disaster relief to individuals and families in need both locally and around the world, currently distributing nearly $34 million worth of food to over 2,200 non-profits each month.

Efforts like these highlight the impact of community support in driving lasting change. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back and encourage others to support Journey Home and Midwest Food Bank through volunteering or donations. Together, we have the power to make a difference in our communities.
