Office workers navigate post-pandemic dress policies

Over the past couple of years, many businesses have implemented a casual dress code in the office. After the Covid-19 pandemic forced millions of people to work remotely at home, comfort became prioritized. Countless offices that are now back in-person have strayed away from a business professional dress code and have become much more lenient.

On the contrary, Johnson Brunetti employees remain in professional attire. Partner and Certified Financial Planner™ Heath Grossman spoke with Hartford Business Journal to discuss how important it is to look the part, especially when meeting with clients.

“We work in an industry where you’re dealing with people’s money and it’s pretty serious — we try to dress accordingly.”

“We generally try to wear a suit and tie, and I don’t really think that’s changed pandemic-wise,” he said. It’s important to recognize that the way an employee dresses solely depends on what their business is and what their role is.
